Class began with Notice of Examination announcements. Then, we proceeded to evaluation of Question 40 from October 2016 customs broker license exam (classification of chemicals). Next, we discussed the application of Trade Facilitation and Trade Enforcement Act of 2015 on informal entries. Class ended with discussion of carnets (ATA, TIR). We discussed reasons why ATA carnets would be preferred to Temporary Importation Under Bond, Trade Fair, and regular consumption entries. The lecture integrated questions from past exams on the topic.
